HPCP Tutorial
< Go Back
The High Performance Computing Profile (HPCP) standard was produced by the Open Grid Forum to define a Web services-based interface for securely submitting, managing, and monitoring jobs. The standard provides an integration point around which software developers (who are building schedulers, tools, or applications) can integrate with other schedulers in order to access clusters exposed through an HPCP-compliant Web service.
Beginning with an overview, this document then covers several deployment scenarios, as well as security considerations. The document then describes the three phases of HPCP Web service installation: compiling the source code, deploying and configuring the HPCP Web service within Internet Information Services (IIS) or as a standalone application, and verifying that the HPCP Web service is working correctly.
